A pyramid chart can help you visualize the hierarchical structure of data, as well as the quantity of data in each segment of the pyramid. For example, a customer value chart could display the real or projected value of your customer or client relationships, from the most lucrative segment down to those who only make occasional purchases.
While the chart can group data into segments of the pyramid, it is important not to be misled by the increasing width of each segment as you move from the top to the bottom of the pyramid. The height of each segment, but not its width, is significant.
You can add a pyramid chart to a summary-type report definition to clearly present the report's data. You can add the chart in the Report Definition rule form directly, or through the Report Editor.
