Microsoft Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) |
Specification attachments are incorporated into documents generated by the Document wizard through Microsoft Word's OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) document standard.
This occurs when the Include in Documentation? check box is selected, which is available on the Application Profile landing page and on the specification form itself.
Supported file types are included in the Word document as follows:
.jpg
, .gif
, .png
, and .bmp
— Render as inline images..rtf
, .doc
, and .docx
files — Render as inline content. Original attachment formatting may not be exact, based on the styles applied by the template..xls
, .ppt
, .vdx
— Embedded as OLE objects, if the underlying Microsoft Office program is installed on your local system.
