About List rules

A list rule identifies a set of properties that are to be included in a clipboard page assembled by the Obj-List method. This rule also supports simple tabular reporting (involving no calculations or sorting) and the Data Table editor.
Note: With Pega 7.1.7 local data storage replaces data tables.
List rules are referenced in activities, as a parameter to the Obj-List method.
Use the Application Explorer to access list rules that apply to the work types in your application. Use the Records Explorer to list all list rules available to you.
Beginning with 5.4, this rule type is deprecated in most cases. As a best practice, use the Obj-Browse method or the Obj-List-View method (with an associated list view rule) rather than the Obj-List method whenever possible, for performance reasons.
