Data page test cases landing page |
The data page unit test landing page is a single page listing all of the data page unit tests in an application. On the landing page you can selectively run automated tests defined for data pages and know which tests have succeeded or failed. You can also see if any data pages have started experiencing changes in their run time. You can also create new data page unit tests from the landing page. The landing page is accessed from the Data Explorer. The Explorer panel is on the left side of the Designer Studio. Click the Data icon to display the Data Explorer. From the drop down menu at the top-left of the Data Explorer, select View all test cases.
On the data test case landing page you can:
Click the name of the test case to open the test case details to open the test case and view the unit test case definition.
Select the check box or check boxes next to the test cases to be run. If there are multiple pages of test cases shown then select all checkbox will only select the tests on the current page. A message will be shown in such a case at the top of landing with the option to select all the tests across all the pages. Click the Run selected button. The test cases run and the results on the landing page are updated.
Click the Add new button to add a new test case. The Select data page modal dialog appears and you can select the data page for which you want to create a test case by clicking on the name of the data page.
The Run/Expected time displays next to an icon indicating the results of the last run of the test. The run/expected time displays the actual run time of the rule under test (data page) and the expected time of the rule under test (Data page). Click the result to view more detailed results of the test case. The test case results appear in a new tab. If the test failed, the unexpected results appear at the bottom of the page.
