Revision Management landing page
Revision management provides business users with means to implement and test modifications to their applications outside of the enterprise release cycles. This functionality enables business users to respond quickly to changes in the external and internal factors that influence a business. On the Pega 7 Platform, this goal is achieved by changing the business rules that govern the decisioning strategies and proposition management.
Revision management process affects the following environments:
- Development environment: it is the place where the system architect builds the decisioning enterprise application incorporating all necessary decisioning strategies and propositions. This environment is also the place where the application overlay is created when there is demand for changes in the application. Before building an application overlay, the system architect defines business users who are authorized to update the application as well as the scope of rules they are allowed to modify.
- Business sandbox: it is the environment where business users defined by the system architect create, implement, and test revisions using the Decision Manager Portal.
- Production environment: it is the place where the system architect deploys revisions after they have been verified and approved by business users.
The Revision management landing page allows the system architect to:
- create and manage the application overlays in the development environment
- import and manage revisions in the production environment
