Adding a field group list to a data type or case type
Add a field group list to a data type or case type to store the values of a list of related fields in a page list structure. For example, you can capture a list of names and addresses from your work history in the Previous Employers field group list.

To access the data model tab for a data type:
- Click the Data icon in the Explorer panel to display the Data Explorer.
- Click the data type.
- Click the Data model tab.
To access the data model tab for a case type:
- Open a case type in Case Designer.
- Click the Data Model tab.
- Click Add field.
- Enter the field group list's label in the Name column. An identifier is automatically generated in the ID column.
- Update the field group list's identifier that will be used to reference it in rules in the ID column.
- Select Field group (list) in the Type column from the Complex types category. An autocomplete field appears in the Options column.
- Select a data type in the autocomplete field in the Options column or create a new data type by clicking New next to the autocomplete field.
Values from each field group list are stored in a page list property in the [Your organization]-[Your application name]-Data-[Repeating field-group name] class.
