Selecting methods for REST integration

On the Select Methods screen of the New REST Integration wizard, you can choose the standard methods to use for the creation of a data source in your application. You can also authenticate the data source.

1. If you want to authenticate the data source that is created from your REST integration, click Edit Authentication to open the Configure Authentication dialog box. For more information, see Authenticating a data source or test execution in REST integration.
2. Select the methods that you want to use to invoke the external REST service.
3. After selecting the methods, you can do one of the following actions to generate request and response data models for the data source:
   • Configure the request and response manually if you want to upload sample request and response data.
   • Configure the request and response by using simulation instances if you want to generate and save simulation instances for the methods.

   Tip: As a best practice, ensure that you upload or generate sample response data for each method that you select.

4. Click Next.
