Updating the data layer for REST integration
On the Generate records screen of the New REST Integration wizard, review and update the information for the data layer of your REST integration in the Data Layer section.
- Select the Generate check box next to Data Layer to automatically create a data type, data page, and related data transforms for your REST integration.
- Click Edit to open the Edit Data Layer Details dialog box where you can specify the details for the data layer:
- Select the Include top node in Data Layer check box to include data from the top or root node of the schema in data layer generation.
Update the Data Type section.- In the Name field, enter a name for the data type to which the data page for your REST integration belongs.
- In the Description field, enter a description for the data type.
- In the Parent class field, select the parent class for the data type from the options available.
- Click Edit to update the Identifier of the data type that the system constructs from the name of the parent class and the name of the data type.
Update the Data Page section.- In the Name field, enter a name for the data page.
- Click Edit to update the Identifier for the data page that the system constructs from its name.
Update the Context section.- In the Choose application layer field, select the application in which you want to create the data page.
- In the Add to ruleset field, select New to create a new ruleset and enter the name of the new ruleset in the text field. Select Existing to use an existing ruleset and enter the values for the Ruleset and Version.
Click Submit to save your settings or Cancel to abandon your changes. A summary of the objects to be created and their location appears in the Data Layer section.
