Creating a flow

You can use a flow to model a business process in your application. By defining a sequence of events and automating the decisions that trigger alternate paths, you can reduce the time it takes to resolve a case.

Tip: To develop your flow more quickly, add a process to the life cycle of a case type instead of manually managing components in a flow diagram. Use the Flow form only when you need to configure advanced options that you cannot access from the case type.

For more information about processes in the context of a life cycle, see: Defining a life cycle for a case type.

  1. Create the rule that stores the flow.

  2. Add shapes to the flow.

  3. Connect the shapes to define different paths.

  4. Define the end logic of the flow.

  5. Integrate your flow with a case type by using a subprocess.

  6. Optional: To capture business exceptions in the flow, create and set tickets.

You can test your flow by running it.
