Note: The summary view rule is deprecated. Re-create the custom summary view reports that you need as report definitions. The last version of Internet Explorer that summary view rules support is Internet Explorer 11.

Use the Summary View rule form to define a custom or personal query. This rule generates HTML that provides an interactive display or chart.

Access

Working directly with the Summary View rule form, developers can create a report for any class — internal or external.

Tips

• The Full Description on the History tab provides the report title and might contain directives.
• After you save a Summary View rule form, you can test the rule by running it.

Category

Summary view rules are instances of the Rule-Obj-SummaryView rule type. They are part of the Reports category.
