Adding a custom control to the design palette

You can add custom controls to the design palettes available in the section form in Designer Studio. This makes custom controls easily accessible to developers at design time.

After you have completed the Control tab to create a custom control:

1. Click the HTML tab in the control rule form
2. Select the Show in authoring menus check box.
3. Select whether you want the custom control to appear in the Basic or Advanced palette.
4. In the Control image text field you can enter the icon you want to use or click the gear icon to select an icon from the available images.
