Defining the required attachment categories for a stage

You can control which categories of attachments are required for a stage in a life cycle. By performing validation, you can ensure that a case contains relevant files before it enters a stage.

  1. In the Explorer panel, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
  2. On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.
  3. Click a stage name.
  4. Click Validation.
  5. Click + Add required attachment to display a list of attachment categories that are supported by your case type.
  6. Select an attachment category from the list.
  7. Click Save.

At run time, your application displays an error if the case does not have at least one attachment in each of the required attachment categories.
