You can define flow actions that users can perform while they are waiting for a paused process to resume. By changing the default behavior of the Wait shape in a flow, you can help users work more efficiently.
-
In the Explorer panel, click Case
types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
-
On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.
-
Click a process that contains the Wait shape, and then click Open
process.
-
In the flow diagram, double click the Wait shape to open the Wait
properties dialog box.
-
Select the Users can choose to continue process check box.
-
Click + Add local action.
-
In the Local action permitted for end user field, press the Down
Arrow key and select the name of a flow action, or task, that a user can perform.
Local flow actions do not move a case closer to resolution.
-
Expand the Advanced wait options section.
-
In the Assigned to work queue field, press the Down Arrow key
and select the name of a work queue that is accessible to your team.
If you do not provide a work queue, your application routes the assignment to an
internal work queue that is not associated with a team.
- Optional:
To change the message that is displayed when a user opens the assignment, press the
Down Arrow key in the Instructions field and select a field value.
-
Click Submit to close the Wait properties
dialog box.
-
Click Save.
At run time, users can choose a flow action to perform or manually resume the process when
the case reaches the Wait step in the life cycle.
