Previewing rules
If you have the @baseclass.ToolbarFull or @baseclass.ToolbarPreview privilege, you can preview the run-time appearance of certain rule types by selecting Action > Preview. A dialog box appears and displays a partial run-time preview of the rule.
You can preview the following rule types:
- Harnesses
- Sections
- Controls
- Activities
- Flow actions
- HTML rules
- Edit Input rules
- Edit Validate rules
- Properties of Single Value mode
- Flows
If you preview a harness, section, flow action, activity, or HTML rule, the system creates a clipboard page and initializes properties on that page. In turn, the initialized properties might start declarative processing. Accordingly, use caution before implementing any on-change declarative processing that updates a database.
