Settings for the Sample construction step

You change these settings to affect the Sample construction step. The settings include the names of the sections that are displayed for the step and the default values for particular options.

Setting	Description
Sampling method
Uniform sampling	Create a sample with cases of equal probability that are randomly selected from the data source. You can set the sample size using percentage or number of cases.
Stratified sampling	Create a sample using a different probability for each value of a selected field.
Validation
Set the percentage of cases retained for data set validation and testing.
