Creating an email account
You can create an email account from the Email Accounts tab on the Email landing page.
- Click Designer Studio > Integration > Email > Email Accounts.
- Click Create.

In the Details section complete the following fields:
- In the Account ID field, enter a unique identifier for the email account.
- In the Account Name field, enter a name for the email account.
- From the Email provider list, select the email provider for the email account.

In the Sender section, in the
Identity section complete the following fields:
- In the Email address field, enter the email address for the email account.
- In the Display name name field, enter the name of the sender.
- In the User ID field, enter the SMTP user ID that sends email from this host.
- In the Password field, enter the sender password.
- In the Reply to field, enter the email address that recipients of emails that are sent emails from this account can reply to.

In the Sender section, in the
Connection section, complete the following fields:
- In the SMTP host field, enter the SMTP user ID for sending email.
- In the Port field, enter the SMTP server port number for outgoing email connections.
- Select the Use SMTPS check box to use SSL to send email messages through this server.

In the Sender section, in the Message
signing section,
- To support email secutity, in the Keystore instance field, select a keystore. If you have not already created a keystore instance, click the icon next to the field. For information about creating a keystore, see Creating a keystore.
- In the Certificate alias field, enter an alias for your keystore instance.

In the Receiver section, in the
Identity section, complete the following fields:
- If the email account and password for the sender and receiver are the same, select Use sender's ID and password.
- If you did not select the check box in step 9a, in the User ID field, enter the email address to be used to receive email.
- If you did not select the check box in step 9a, in the Password field, enter the password for the receiving email address.

In the Receiver section in the
Connection section, complete the following fields:
- In the Host field, enter the POP3 or IMAP mail server host name or IP address to be used to receive incoming email.

In the Port field, enter the POP3 or IMAP mail
server port number for email connections. The options for these mail
server port numbers are:
- 143 – IMAP unsecured.
- 993 – IMAP secured with SSL.
- 110 – POP3 unsecured.
- 995 – IMAP secured with SSL.
Note: If you do not enter a port, a default port is assigned based on the protocol that you select in step 10b. - From the Protocol list, select the server email protocol.
- Select the Use SSL/TLS check box to use SSL or TLS when receiving email from this server.

To override the default settings that are used by the email receiver, expand
the Advanced section. Specify the key and value for valid
JavaMail API IMAP and POP3 protocol provider properties as defined in the Java
packages com.sun.mail.imap and com.sun.mail.pop3, respectively.
Note: Customizing the email receiver with these settings must be done with care and may result in an unproven, unsupported configuration.
- Click Submit.
