Capturing application feedback in real time

You can use the Agile Workbench tool to capture real-time feedback about your application. By reporting bugs, creating stories, and requesting enhancements as you develop, you can improve the quality of your application without switching contexts.

Prerequisites:

  • If you plan to record video or take screen captures while you capture feedback, use Google Chrome to log in to your application.

  • To ensure that Google Chrome has access to your microphone for recording video, you must use a secure protocol, such as HTTPS, to connect to your application.

  1. Click the Agile Workbench icon.

  2. Click Install the plugin to add the Pega Screen and Video Capture extension to your browser.

  3. In the header of the Agile Workbench tool, click the Create work item icon, and then select a type of work item.

    To define functional requirements in a story:

    1. In the Name field, enter text that summarizes what users can do with the new functionality.

    2. In the Description field, enter text that describes the new functionality to implement, the key stakeholders to involve, and the relevant business value.

    1. In the Complexity list, select an option to indicate the level of effort to complete the story.

    2. In the Priority field, click an option to indicate when the team works on the story, relative to other stories in the product backlog.

    3. Expand the Acceptance criteria section.

    4. Create a list of specific metrics or constraints that the team must meet before they can resolve the story.

    To report a defect or regression in a bug:

    1. In the Name field, enter text that summarizes the unexpected behavior.

    2. In the Description field, enter text that includes steps to reproduce the bug and any supporting information, such as the credentials to your application, which can help the team fix the bug more quickly.

    3. In the Severity field, click an option to indicate the extent to which you are adversely affected by the bug.

    To share ideas or suggestions in a feedback item:

    1. In the Name field, enter text that summarizes the change.

    2. In the Description field, enter text that includes the rationale for the change and details, such as use cases or metrics, that can help the team decide how to triage the feedback.

    3. In the Priority field, click an option to indicate when the team implements your feedback, relative to other items in the product backlog.

  4. Add supporting information to the story.
    1. To assign a user to the work item, press the Down Arrow key in the Owner field, and then select a user name.

    2. To elaborate on the priority or severity of the work item, enter a date in the Due date field.

    3. To attach an artifact, such as a document or video, click + Add attachment > [attachment type] .

  5. Click Save.

You can integrate the Agile Workbench tool with Pega Agile Studio to synchronize your product backlog with the stories and bugs that you create.
