Data Designer

Use the Data Designer to review and manage data types in your application. When you select a data type in the Data Explorer, the data type opens in the Data Designer.

Common actions that you can take in the Data Designer include:

• Adding and removing fields
• Adding and removing records
• Exporting data
• Updating the data type name and description
• Delegating the data type

To open the Data Designer, turn on editing in your application, click Data, and click the data type you want to edit. Click New to create a data type and click Stored locally to create a data type that accesses locally stored data or Connect via REST to create a data type that accesses data in an external system of record.
