Updating entities for an Email channel

You can create a new type of entity, correct entity detection, and add entities for record items to further train the natural language processing (NLP) model for an Email channel. Performing these actions improves the machine learning capability for the Email channel instance.

Each record item in the list represents an email from a customer that is saved by the Email channel. Each entity type is represented by a different color in the Training data pane.

  1. Open an Email channel interface.
  2. Click the Training data tab.
  3. In the Training data pane, select a record item for which you want to add, remove, or map entities.
  4. In the Training data correction pane, perform any of the following actions.
    • To add a new entity to a record item text:

      1. Highlight the text to map to a new entity.
      2. Right-click the text and click New entity.
      3. In the Entity name field, enter a name for the entity.
      4. Click Submit.
    • To add an entity to a record item text:

      1. Highlight the text to map to an entity.
      2. Right-click the text and click the name of an entity.
    • To remove an entity from a record item text:

      1. Right-click the text that is mapped to an entity.
      2. Click Remove entity.
  5. Click Add to model.
