Proposition Filter rule form - Completing the Filter criteria tab

Proposition Filter rule form - Completing the Filter Criteria tab

In this tab, you can set specific criteria for propositions that belong to a particular business issue and group. You can use these criteria with the criteria that are defined in the default behavior, or you can use the specific criteria to override the default behavior.

  1. Open an instance of the Proposition Filter rule.

  2. In the Propositions section, specify criteria for filtering propositions.

    1. In the SHOW section, select one of the following options:
      • All in this group - Display all propositions that belong to a particular business issue and group.
      • Only using default behavior - Display propositions that use the default behavior.
      • Only using specific filter criteria - Display propositions that use specific criteria.
    2. In the Proposition table, select a proposition for which you want to set specific filter criteria.

  3. In the Proposition evaluation section, select behavior for the proposition:

    • Criteria defined in default behavior - Use the default behavior for propositions.

Note: If you use the default behavior, skip the rest of this procedure.
    • Specific filter criteria - Override the default behavior of the selected proposition.

    • Both criteria defined in default behavior and specific filter criteria - Use the specific criteria and the criteria that are defined in the default behavior.

  4. Configure specific filter conditions:

    1. Click Add when rule and specify the following information:

      • An ID for the rule instance, for example A.

Use this ID in the expression that you specify in the Logic string field.

      • A name of the when rule instance that you want to reference.

Repeat this step to configure more filter conditions that are based on the when rule instances.

    2. Click Add strategy and specify the following information:

      • An ID for the rule instance, for example B.

Use this ID in the expression that you need to specify in the Logic string field.

      • A name of the Strategy rule instance that you want to reference.

      • A component of the Strategy rule instance.

When the component results in the creation of one or more pages, its output is interpreted as true. When there are no results, the output is interpreted as false.

Repeat this step to configure more filter conditions that are based on the Strategy rule instances.

    3. In the Logic string field, specify the expression for evaluation of the filter criteria. Use the following operators: AND, OR, NOT, &&, ||, !, and (), for example, A AND B.

  5. Click Save.
