If you are running BIX in the Pega Cloud, you can either obtain BIX extract files from the Pega SFTP server or have the extract files sent to your SFTP server if you already have an SFTP server. To obtain BIX extract files from the Pega SFTP server, you can use any tool for connecting to the server, such as FileZilla or WinScp.
-
Obtain a private key file (.ppk) from Pega.
-
Configure your SFTP tool by using the following parameters.
- File protocol: SFTP
- Host name: sftp.pega.com
- Port: 22
- User name: sftpuser
- Password: sftpuser
- Location of the private key file (.ppk): full path to the directory that contains
the file.
-
Connect to the Pega SFTP server. Once connected, you can only view files in the
directory in which your extract .zip file is located.
-
Download the .zip file.
Note: For Pega Cloud applications, BIX is an add-on service
that Pega configures if you choose it as part of your subscription. For on-premises
applications, BIX is available when you purchase and install the BIX application.
