Specifying a time zone for a Date time control
To enable users to enter a specific date and time in the calendar picker, change the default time settings to a particular time zone.
Before you begin: In the layout of the form that you are editing, complete
the following task: Adding a Date time control to a layout.
- Click the control, and then click the View properties icon.
- In the Properties panel click the Presentation tab.
-
In the Time zone source section, select how the
application determines the date and time tor the calendar picker:
- To use the default time zone of the operator's system, select Operator time zone.
- To show the date and time from a specific time zone in the calendar
picker, select Standard time zones, and then select a
Java-supported time zone from the list.
If you leave the parameter blank or if you select an unsupported time zone, the default time zone of the operator is displayed.
- To use a dynamic value for the time zone, select Property and then apply a data transform or a different transformation type.
- Click Submit.
Example: A shift manager working from London needs to schedule a task for an employee in New
York. Set the time zone for the Date time control in the
Schedule user form to America/New York, so that the manager sees the current
time in New York when they click the Start task field.
