Enabling the native header in a mobile app

Enable the native header functionality to improve the performance of your mobile app and enhance your app with native capabilities. The native header provides the users with a responsive interface that is consistent across native apps and different devices.
  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Channels and interfaces.
  2. Choose the app for which you want to open the mobile channel:
    Option Description
    New app
    1. In the Create new channel interface section, click Mobile.
    2. On the Configuration tab, in the General section, enter the name of your app.
    Existing app
    1. In the Current channel interfaces section, click the icon that represents your existing mobile app.
    2. Click Modify build.
  3. On the Layout tab, in the Layout section, select the Mobile - Slide Up application layout.
    The layout option that you select is highlighted.
  4. Expand the Advanced layout settings section, and then enable the native header for your app:
    1. Select the Use iOS/Android native bottom menu check box.
    2. Select the Use iOS/Android native header bar check box.
  5. Click Save.
