More about Connect EJB rules
An EJB connector is invoked from an activity with the Activity type set to
Rule Connect
that applies to a class derived from the Work
- base class. An Integrator shape in a flow rule can reference activities with the Rule
Connect
Activity type .
Calling activity
When you use the Connector wizard, the wizard generates a connector activity. You may need to fine-tune settings or steps in the generated rule. If you create the connector rules directly using rule forms rather than with the Connector wizard, you must also create the connector activities.
To start an EJB connection and execute a Connect EJB connector rule, create an activity that:
- Creates a named page for the class rule that the connector rule applies to. This page becomes the primary page for the connector.
- Sets property values that serve as the input for the connector's invocation of the EJB.
- Calls the connector rule. This step uses the Connect-EJB method. The step page is the primary page of the connector.
- Processes the data that the connector rule receives.
