Data display controls
Data display controls help you represent data graphically in the form of maps,
charts, or images. For example, the Timeline control creates
a display of events that occur over a period of time plotted against the date.
Adding a Text control
To help users understand the structure of a layout and get a general idea what the content groupings within the layout include, describe the content and the purpose of layout elements by including formatted text in cells and headers in a layout.
Configuring a text label in a layout cell or header
A cell on the layout can present formatted text, which may include the results of JSP tags or directives. Follow these instructions to control the presentation of the label. Labels can also appear in headers.
Adding paragraphs to place rich text in a layout cell or header
By referencing a paragraph rule ( Rule-HTML-Paragraph rule type), a cell in the layout can present rich text, which can include the results of JSP tags and stream processing. Unlike a label, display text in a paragraph can be longer than 64 characters. (You can add paragraphs to headers as well as to cells.)
Configuring icon controls
Use icons to create a user interface that is more intuitive and quicker to localize for different audiences. By linking common operations to familiar icons, you can make the UI more friendly and reduce the time that is required to train new users.
Adding a chart
You can add a static or interactive chart to a cell on a harness, section, or flow action form.
Adding and configuring an Advanced data visualization control
Use a Advanced data visualization control when you need a highly configurable visualization beyond the standard pie, bar, and line charts. With a Advanced data visualization control, you can appropriately represent any type of data. You can add Advanced data visualization controls to sections or anywhere else a standard control can be used, such as Dashboard widgets.
Geographic reference
Geographic reference helps users quickly identify locations that are relevant to the case. By clearly indicating the position of a place on a map, you provide users with a transparent interface that helps them read geographic data.
Timeline controls
In constructing a user form, you can add a Timeline control so that application users can view events along a horizontal timeline. The timeline can have a start date and an optional end date that restrict the events that are displayed.
Adding a video to a section
You can add a video to your section to provide an interactive user experience.
