Adding attachments

Attach files to Community articles to provide additional resources, such as configuration files or samples.

Attach files of the following types:
  • Configuration files to upload to Pega Platform
  • Sample customer databases
  • Project files
  • Records
  1. In the tools pane on Pega Community, click Content.

  2. On the Content page, on the Media tab, click Add Media.

  3. On the Add media item page, select the file category.

    For example: For ZIP files, click Product resource.
  4. In the Name field, enter the file name.

    The name should match the file name, including the file extension.
  5. In the File upload field, select your file.

  6. In the Product version section, specify the releases in which the file is valid.

  7. In the Platform capability section, specify the capability to which the file applies.

  8. Select the Publishing status check box.

  9. Click Save.

    Result: All new product resources are saved to this location on Community:
  10. Open the article in which you want to add a link to the file, and then click Edit.

  11. On the article editor page, in the Body section, click the File Browser icon, and then select the file that you want to attach by following the instructions in the Select media to embed wizard.

  12. Confirm your changes to the article by clicking Save.
