Reference application settings in rules

Updated on April 5, 2022

The pzsettingsORA UI control is a reusable control that you can use to reference application settings in any rule in your application. The control defines how the application settings appear in your rules. For example, you can configure the control to display only categories or remove the option to create a new application setting.

The control supports the following configurations:

  • ListCategoriesOnly: This parameter is disabled by default. When enabled, the control lists only the categories that are associated with your application settings.
  • ListSystemSettings: This parameter is disabled by default. When enabled, the control lists only application settings in your rules.
  • PlaceHolderCaption: Use this parameter to display placeholder text in the control, for example, Choose setting. This parameter is enabled by default.
  • HideRuleOpener: This parameter is disabled by default. When enabled, the rule opener icon is hidden.
  • ShowCreateNewOption: Use this parameter to display the option for creating a new setting in the control. For example, when the user presses the Down arrow key in a field, the option displays in the list. This parameter is enabled by default.
  • ActionPromptForCreateNew: Use this parameter to display the prompt for creating a new setting. You can edit the prompt with a name that is intuitive to users, for example, Create New Setting. This parameter is enabled by default.
  • PromptValueForCreateNew: Use this parameter to launch the flow action when the user selects the option to create a new setting. For example, when a user selects this option, a form for creating the setting is displayed. This parameter is enabled by default.
