Updating the system node description

Updated on April 5, 2022

You can update the Short Description with text that identifies this node uniquely to system administrators and others who use this node, and you can enter a longer Node description. The Short Description (property Data-Admin-Nodes.pyLabel ), rather than the hexadecimal Node ID value, appears in various places to identify this node. For example, the footer of the default login form displays the Short Description text.

Note: The node's Short Description should not be the same value as the application server node name. If the node's Short Description is changed to be the same value as the application server node name, then the node description is automatically changed back to the original value after a system restart.
System Name Read-only.

System name of the current system, as recorded in the System data instance.

Node Name Read-only.

Server name in the network; not necessarily unique.

Generated Java directory Read-only.

Path where generated Java files for this node are saved.

Node Description Optional. Enter text to appear on the Systems Nodes Detail display. You can include HTML markup such as <B> and <H3>, and <IMG> tags to local images and links.

This HTML text is not processed by stream processing. Do not include directives or JavaServer Pages tags.
