Viewing column BLOB size

Updated on April 5, 2022

You can view the size of columns that use a binary large object (BLOB) on your internal PegaRULES and PegaDATA databases on Pega Cloud using Schema Tools.

Before you begin: You must have the PegaRULES:SysOpsAdministrator role to access Schema Tools. For more information, see Adding a role to an access group.
Note: Pega Cloud Services provides Query Runner, Query Inspector, and Schema Tools in Pega Platform for clients to manage their database. These database tools are not available to on-premises clients.
  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureSystemDatabaseSchema Tools.
  2. Expand the database schema tree and select the column you want to view.
  3. Click Get blob sizes or Refresh blob sizes.
What to do next:
Note: This operation might be time consuming and should not be performed during peak production hours. The operation continues in the background if you leave the Schema Tools landing page. The retrieved values are displayed the next time you view the column details.
