Understanding Requestor Type data instances
Users and external systems connect to Pega Platform using one of four requestor types. Requestor type data instances define the types of requestors that can access your system, such as a browser session, an external application, or an internal background process.

Five requestor type data instances are defined. Each determines the rulesets, versions, access roles, and startup activities used by requestor sessions of that type.
Category
The Data-Admin-Requestor class contains requestor type data instances. They are part of the SysAdmin category.- Creating a requestor type
Create a requestor type data instance by selecting Requestor from the SysAdmin category.
- Defining access permissions for the requestor type
Provide access to applications for any person or external system signing in through the requestor type.
- Assigning a starting activity for the requestor type
Identify an activity to start when a browser-based requestor connects to the system.

Requestors may be unauthenticated, known as guest users, or authenticated.
