Automatically populating new columns in existing tables
If an import adds columns to existing tables, use advanced mode to automatically expose and populate the new columns after the import.
- Before starting, you must complete this task: Viewing and applying schema changes
- To automatically populate columns after import, your access group must have the SchemaPropertyOptimization privilege.
Automatically populating new columns is a best practice. Otherwise, your reports may be inaccurate until you run the Column Population tool.
- Review the mapping of class names to property names.
- Specify whether to automatically populate the new columns:
- As a best practice, check Automatically populate columns after import.
- To manually populate the columns after the import, clear
Automatically populate columns after import.
Note: After the import completes, run the Column Populator tool to populate the new columns.
- Click Next.
