Editing a product rule

Updated on July 8, 2022

Customize the product rule to specify contents, dependencies, deployment options, and history entries.

To open an existing product rule, in the navigation panel, click RecordsSysAdmProduct and choose a product rule from the instance list.
  1. Specifying the content of a product rule

Specify the applications, rulesets, instances, and .jar files to include in the product rule.

  2. Listing product dependencies

To ensure that your product rule will import correctly, list the products and hotfixes that are required to deploy the product. Pega Platform verifies that these dependencies are installed on your system before importing the product rule.

  3. Specifying product rule deployment options

To automatically revalidate and save the product rule on import, to provide a file with post-import information, and to specify classes to bypass during an update, configure the deployment options.

  4. Adding historical information to a product rule

To provide information about this product rule instance, add a history entry.
