Customer operator

Note:

The Customer operator is not supported by the React starter pack.

The Customer operator (customer.cableco) enables users to create and view service requests. Unlike the Representative operator, the Customer operator cannot send the service request to the Manager operator for a discount.

The Customer operator's screenflow supports navigating among the sections to reduce scrolling and improve user experience. To proceed in a linear fashion, click Continue or clicking the section names to open them. You also can click Back to go to the previous section.

Prerequisites

The Customer operator requires the CableConnect application. Therefore, ensure that the CableConnect application has been imported into Pega Platform. For more information, see Importing CableConnect

Create a service request

  1. Log into Pega Platform with the customer.cableco ID to open the CableConnect application.

  2. Click New > Service to open the Service form.

    The application assigns a service request ID to the service request.
     
  3. (Optional) To track the status of the service request, use the service request ID.

  4. Enter details, such as name and address, in the Customer Info and Customer Address sections. Click Continue after you complete each section to proceed to the next section.

  5. Select the services required, and then click Continue.

  6. Select the service date, and then click Finish to create the service request.

    You can verify the service request from the Recents section. The application forwards the service request to the Technical operator for resolution. 

Save service request data without submitting

Click Save while filling the form to save the form data, and then submit the request later.

Click My Work to open a list of saved service requests, and then select the saved service requests to view, edit, and then submit them.

You also can access the saved service requests from the Recents section.
