Determining the static bundle for Pega Next-Best-Action Advisor

Pega Next-Best-Action Advisor requires a certain static bundle strategy logic to show fixed offers to a customer. Set that logic by editing the relevant strategy rule.

Static bundle
A fixed, preconfigured bundle of offers based on the maximal total monthly cost.

  1. In the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal, click Next-Best-ActionSupporting Decisions.
  2. From the list of results, open RetentionStaticBundles by clicking it.

  3. In the RetentionStaticBundles window, click Save as.
  4. In the Configurations section, next to Alternate strategy, click Configure.
  5. In the Configure Alternate Strategy window, click Create.
  6. Create your strategy:
    1. In the Strategy Record Configuration section, enter Retention advertised bundles as the name of your strategy.
    2. In the Context section, ensure that the change applies to your ruleset.
    3. Click Create and open.
  7. In the Edit Strategy window, add the ImportProposition data shape, and then double-click it.
  8. In the Proposition data properties window, define import settings:
    1. In the Name field, enter All Bundle.
    2. On the Proposition data tab, in the Business issue field, select Retention.
    3. In the Group field, select Bundle.
    4. In the Proposition data field, select Import All.
    5. Click Submit.
  9. Add the ArbitrationFilter shape, and then double-click it.
  10. In the Filter properties window, define the following settings:
    1. In the Name field, enter Just mobile.
    2. On the Filter tab, in the Filter condition field, enter Primary.SubscriptionType=="Mobile".
    3. Click Submit.
  11. Add the second ArbitrationFilter shape, and then double-click it.
  12. In the Filter properties window, define the following settings:
    1. In the Name field, enter Bundles With Members.
    2. On the Filter tab, in the Filter condition field, enter .BundleMembers !="".
    3. Click Submit.
  13. Add the EnrichmentSet property shape, and then double-click it.
  14. In the Set property properties dialog box, define the attributes:
    1. In the Name field, enter Set Priority.
    2. On the Target tab, click Add item.
    3. In the Target field, enter .Priority, and then, in the Source field, enter 0.75.
      Note: You can use an arbitrary value since, during implementation, the models determine propensity for static bundles.
    4. Click Submit.
  15. On the strategy canvas, arrange, and then connect the shapes as shown in the following figure:

    2. Filter (Just mobile)
    3. Filter (Bundles With Members)
    4. Set Property
    5. Results
  16. Click Save, and then close the strategy window.
  17. In the Configure Alternate Strategy dialog box, select the new strategy:
    1. Remove the existing strategy by clicking Delete.
    2. Click the Refresh icon.
    3. Next to Retention advertised bundles, click Add, and then click Apply.
  18. On the RetentionStaticBundles page, click Save.
  19. Generate the data flow:
    1. Reopen the strategy by clicking it.
    2. On the strategy page, click ActionsView references.
    3. On the Referencing rules tab, click the strategy rule to ensure that it has a data flow record.
    4. If the data flow is not visible, close the strategy window.
    5. On the supporting decision page, click Edit, and then click Save.
    6. Repeat step 19.a to step 19.c.
  20. Create the BundlesWithMembers sub strategy.
  21. Click Save, and then click Check in.
  22. Verify if the supporting decision is working.
