Identifying On-Us transactions for processing

Updated on June 21, 2022

The transaction where the card-issuing bank and the merchant bank are the same is considered an On-Us transaction.

Pega Foundation for Healthcare

The On-Us transaction is identified based on the Bank Identification Number (BIN) comparison. The BIN of the Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) is considered from 2nd to 7th position if it is a 6 Digit BIN, and the BIN of the ARN is considered from 2nd to 9th position if it is a 8 Digit BIN. The BIN extracted from the ARN is compared with the BINs present in the issuer application, and if there is a successful match, the transaction is identified to be On-Us transaction.

The On-Us transaction flag is set to Yes for the transactions identified to be On-Us transaction based on the above specified logic. If the On-Us transaction is identified, then the flag is displayed on the footer of the dispute case.

The following figure shows an example of the On-Us transaction.
