Creating a field group
To more effectively organize the information in your case, add a field group to store the values of a group of related fields. For example, you can capture the first name, last name, and address of a person in the Prospective Client field group.
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case types.
- Under Case types, click the name of a case type.
- On the Data model tab, click + Add field.
- In the Name column, enter the name of the new field.
- In the Type column, select Field group.
- Define the fields in the field group.
- To reuse the data object fields, in the Options column, choose a data object from the list.
- To define new fields:
- Select a data object from the list, and then click the data object name to open the data model.
- On the Data model tab, add fields to the data object.
- Click Save.
- On the Data model tab of the case type, click Save.
