Creating a portal

Updated on November 15, 2021
Applicable to Theme UI-Kit applications

Deliver a user experience that matches the needs of each user group by setting up portals. Portals are highly configurable interfaces that can help you to define how personas interact with your application.

You can create a dedicated portal for each persona, and populate each portal with prefabricated components that help users complete their tasks.
  1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Channels, and then click Portal.
  2. On the New Portal interface page, provide a meaningful name and description for the portal.
  3. Define the structure of your portal:

  • Adding the Pulse gadget to your application

Provide a collaboration tool for users of your application by adding the Pulse gadget to your application. By posting, viewing, and commenting on messages, users can work together to resolve cases faster.

  • Providing persona-based access to a portal

Create a personalized user experience by providing each user group with a specialized interface. By associating personas with portals, you can ensure that users see only the content that they need, which makes navigation more convenient.
