Adding custom actions to the table toolbar

Updated on April 5, 2022

Add custom actions to the table toolbar so that the users can quickly access functions that they need and use frequently.

Before you begin:
  1. In the Section form, click the table, and then click the View properties icon.

  2. In the Layout properties window, on the Presentation tab, select the Display custom actions in toolbar check box.

  3. In the field below the check box, press the down arrow key, and then select the section with custom actions.

  4. Click Submit.

  5. Click Save.

Result: At runtime the toolbar displays additional options with custom actions specific to the users' needs.

  • Configuring the table toolbar

Configure the toolbar so that application users can interact with the table at run time, set a personalized view, and save it. The toolbar also presents a summary of the operations, for example, it indicates that columns are grouped by fields.

  • Upgrade considerations

When you upgrade from a previous Pega Platform version you might need to adjust the design of some sections.

  • Available actions and conditions

Choose an action from the list, see which options are available for the action and when you can use it. Learn which conditions you can apply.
