Adding a when rule to a layout group

Updated on April 5, 2022

Layouts in a layout group can be configured to activate using a when rule. You can specify a when rule or expression to activate for layout group tab. When an application user lands on the page, the tab activates depending on the when rule or expression.

In the case of multiple tabs or menus having a when rule or expression, the first element to return true displays. Layouts in the layout group can include: dynamic layouts, repeating dynamic layouts, column layouts, sections, or other layout groups.

  1. Click the View properties icon to open the cell properties for the layout.

  2. In the Active when text field, specify the When Condition rules or About Declare Expression rules to activate each layout the in the layout group.

  3. Click Submit and save the rule.
