Component styles for controls
Learn about the presentation of controls in custom style formats.
- Skin form — Components tab — Controls — Autocomplete
Styles set here apply to text that the user enters in an Autocomplete input field.
- Skin form — Components tab — Controls — Autocomplete
Styles set on the Search Results tab apply to the filtered list of results that is displayed after the user types one or more characters in the autocomplete input field. The styles apply to both the standard and legacy autocomplete control.
- buttons
Styles set here apply to buttons. The following button formats are available in a skin form.
- Skin form — Components tab — Controls — Charts
You can style charts in your application skin by selecting Charts in the Controls section and setting a theme. When you style charts by using a theme, charts that are generated for report definition reports and the autogenerated chart control are styled consistently in your application.

Styles that you set here apply to the labels for check boxes. You can define the Standard check box style or create custom check box formats.

Styles that you set here apply to drop-down lists. You can define the Standard drop-down style or create custom drop-down formats.

Styles set here apply to Label controls and labels for property values (specified in the Label For field in the cell Properties panel).

Styles set here apply to links. For the following formats, you can specify the style of the link text (Normal Text) and the style of the link text when the mouse pointer hovers over it (Hover Text):

Styles set here apply to active and inactive headers of menu bars. You can specify styles for the Standard and Standard Tabbed formats, as well as create custom menu formats .

Styles set here apply to the menu panel, the item box at the menu level. You can set the border and background color of the menu panel.

Styles that you set here apply to the labels for radio buttons. You can define the Standard radio button style or create custom radio button formats.

Styles set here apply to the header, footer, and border of rich text editor controls. You can create custom rich text editor control formats.

The styles that you set on this form apply to the body area of the tooltip.

Styles set here apply to the body area of the smart tip and smart info.

Styles set here apply to the header of smart tip and smart info. You can define styles for the Standard format or create custom formats .

- Menu Items
Styles set here apply to the menu items in a split/menu button.

The presentation of a Split/Menu button is determined by a combination of styles. The button settings, for example, text and background, use the standard button styles. The menu presentation is determined by settings you specify here.

Styles set here apply to the following types of text:
- Skin form — Components tab — Controls — Multi Select
The styles that you set here apply to Multi-select list controls. By using the Multi-select list control, you enable users to select more than one option from a list.
