Overriding disabled inherited screen layout formats

Updated on April 5, 2022

To limit the size of the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) file and improve application loading time, some inherited formats for screen layouts are disabled by default. You can override these defaults.

Formats that are disabled in the parent skin are displayed with a Disabled indicator in the list of inherited formats on the Component styles tab of the Skin form.

  1. In the Inherited list on the Component styles tab of the Skin form, click the disabled format that you want to enable.

  2. In the properties pane to the right, click the override it link.

  3. In the pane that is displayed, specify the styling for the format, and then click Save.

Result: In the list of inherited formats, the format that you changed is now displayed with an Overriden indicator.
