Selecting languages

Updated on April 5, 2022

To start the localization process, open the localization wizard and specify one or more languages in which to translate your application. A separate translation package is created for each language.

If you click Cancel to exit the wizard, all entries up to that point are saved.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureUser InterfaceApplication readinessLocalizationTranslate to new language.

  2. Select a language, and click Add.

You can repeat this step to add another language. You can customize the languages on the list by updating the property Embed-Language.pyLanguage.

  3. If the application was previously translated, select the Re-translate existing translations? check box next to a selected language to overwrite a previously translated language.

  4. Optional:

To delete a language row, click the Delete icon.

  5. Click Next.

  • Selecting application rulesets

Specify one or more unlocked application rulesets and versions that contain field value rules that you want to translate. The field value rules are used to display application elements such as user forms and portal displays.

  • Localization wizard

Use the Localization wizard to make an application available in additional languages. The wizard automates many of the steps necessary to create language-specific rulesets.
