Mobile-specific behavior
Mobile apps, which you can use in any place at any time, offer a convenient alternative to desktop applications. Pega Platform makes use of existing case data to create a mobile UI with no additional coding, while giving you a choice in the behavior of mobile-specific components.
The following UI functionalities are available only for a mobile interface:
- Swipe actions
- You can define what happens when a user swipes a selected work list item. For example, you can configure the application to resolve the case when the user swipes the item right. For more information on configuring swipe actions, see Authoring mobile list pages.
- Native attachment management
- When a field requires an attachment, the app automatically opens the native tool specific to the attachment type. For example, if a field requires a photo, the app might start the camera in the mobile device.
- Location tracking
- You can track mobile users and display their location on a map in the application. For more information, see Configuring the Map control and Tracking mobile users based on geolocation data.
