What's new in V5.4 - Direct Capture of Objectives

Updated on April 29, 2019

These articles describe optional Direct Capture of Objectives features, announced by Pegasystems in February 2008. DCO features support rapid application development throughout the project life cycle.

Many DCO facilities are available in both V5.4 and V5.3SP1/SP2. They are implemented by an optional RuleSet Pega-AppDefinition, included in V5.4 distributions. (V5.3SP1/SP2 sites can contact Pegasystems to obtain this RuleSet as a ZIP archive.).

The facilities capture use cases, actors, and system objectives. The Application Profiler wizard supports production of a proposal.

In this session, we describe and demonstrate Direct Capture of Objectives, or "DCO" - an umbrella term given a set of Process Commander application development tools and wizards designed to capture and tie business objectives, project goals, and use case requirements to actual implementations.
