Managing application users
Display only relevant tabs to each application user of Pega Workforce Intelligence by assigning roles when you add analysts, business users, and administrators to the application. The default roles include Administrator, Analyst User, and Report User.
You can assign a person to more than one role. Both the Analyst User and the Report User roles provide access to the Dashboard, Summary, and Timeline tabs. In addition, the Analyst User role includes access to the Analysis tab for reviewing workflows, finding opportunties, evaluating wait time, and other analyst tasks. The following table shows the Workforce Intelligence tabs that are available to each role:
Tabs | |||||
Roles | Dashboard | Summary | Timeline | Analysis | Administration |
Administrator | ✔ | ||||
Analyst User | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | |
Report User | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔* |
* The Report User role only provides access to the Shift Updates page on the Administration tab.
You can also create custom administrator roles to limit access to the Administrator pages. For more information, see Creating custom administrator roles.
- Creating custom administrator roles
Securely distribute administrative tasks across multiple administrators by creating and assigning custom administrator roles. Rather than using only a single administrator role that provides access to all administrative features, you can create roles to support how your organization manages Pega Workforce Intelligence and also trains and promotes administrators.
- Editing custom administrator roles
Update custom administrator roles to reflect changes to how administrative tasks are distributed and managed.
- Deleting custom administrator roles
Keep the list of custom administrator roles updated by deleting roles that are no longer needed.
- Adding application users
Add application users to Pega Workforce Intelligence and assign role-based access to display only relevant tabs and data to each user.
- Selecting an application user
Find application users more quickly by sorting or filtering users by name, role, status, or last logged in date.
- Editing application user information
Modify status, access, and other information for application users to keep the information in Pega Workforce Intelligence updated.
- Resetting passwords for application users
If an application user forgets his or her password, you can send a password reset email to that user.
- Resending the invitation email
If an application user does not respond to an invitation email to log on to Pega Workforce Intelligence within the seven-day time frame, you can send the invitation again.
