RuntimeConfig file settings

Updated on May 5, 2021

The Workforce Intelligence Service Delivery team assists with any steps that involve the RuntimeConfig.xml during initial onboarding and any subsequent troubleshooting. To better understand the troubleshooting checks that they might perform, it is helpful to know that Pega Workforce Intelligence relies on specific configuration settings in the RuntimeConfig.xml file.

There are only a few keys specific to Workforce Intelligence in the RuntimeConfig.xml file. These keys relate to a package setting and logging.

Setting the AllowRunWithNoPackage key

Since you do not need a solution package on the associate desktops to collect High Level Events, this key must be set to True. You can find this key in the AppSettings section. Review the following example:

<add
    value=”true”
    key=”AllowRunWithNoPackage”/>

Enabling Runtime logging

Work with the Service Delivery team to enable logging when requested for troubleshooting.

Design Patterns: For more information on how to enable log files to help diagnose and resolve errors, see Enabling verbose-level Runtime logging.
