Enhanced Pulse gadget for Cosmos React

Valid from Pega Version 8.6

Together with the DX API, the Cosmos React component now provides an overlay in which users can quickly view and select the feed sources from which to view Pulse messages. Users can also add attachments to their messages, and remove the messages that they post. These enhancements improve collaboration and speed up case resolution. For example, a case worker can view only posts from particular cases, to quickly find a request for additional information about a case, and then provide necessary details by attaching a relevant document.

For more information, see Configuring Pulse feed sources for Cosmos React and Posting a message in Pulse.

Manage and debug your access control policies on the Policy-based Access landing page

Valid from Pega Version Pega Platform

You can now view, manage, and debug access control policies that are used in your application on the Policy-based Access landing page. You can also verify whether relevant access control policies grant or deny access to a specific case for a specific operator. By using this new landing page you can manage and debug policies by yourself without contacting Global Customer Support.

For more information, see Reviewing access control policies, Verifying access control policies

Security landing pages and features require privileges

Valid from Pega Version 7.3

Security-related landing pages and features are no longer visible and accessible to every user. To view and configure the following security features, you must have the appropriate privileges:

  • Attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies require the pzCanManageSecurityPolicies privilege.
  • The Authentication Services landing page requires the pzCanCreateAuthService privilege.

Discovery features for access control policies

Valid from Pega Version 7.2.2

Access control policies now support discovery features that allow end users to view limited, customizable information about class instances that fail Read policies but satisfy Discover policies. Two types of Discovery gadgets are provided, and when discovery features are enabled, a Discovery gadget is included in the Report Viewer and in search results. Developers can customize these gadgets and include them in other parts of an application user interface.

For more information, see Discovery features for access control policies.

Use client-based access control to support EU GDPR requirements

Valid from Pega Version 8.1

You can use client-based access control (CBAC) to satisfy the data privacy requirements of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar regulations. By using client-based access control, you can identify the personal data of clients and automatically process requests to view, update, or remove the data in a secure manner. You can also enforce restrictions on the use of this data in application functions.

For more information, see Client-based access control.

Support for nested Declare Trigger rules

Valid from Pega Version 8.5

Pega Platform™ now supports nested Declare Trigger rules so that you can conveniently create correlations between actions in your case types. Declare Triggers rules invoke an action when a specified event takes place in a case type. You can now design more complex scenarios faster by nesting more Declare Trigger rules that work in the context of running another Declare Trigger rule. For example, when a case participant changes a postal code in their personal details, a Declare Trigger rule runs and a respective customer service representative (CSR) receives an email. After the CSR receives the email, a nested Declare Trigger rule runs and your application creates a document with the updated personal details and attaches it to the case.

For more information, see Develop applications faster with nested Declare Trigger rules (8.5), Declare Trigger rules.
