Support for PMML version 4.3 in predictive models

You can now leverage predictive models in the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) version 4.3 by importing them into predictive models on Pega^® Platform. Pega Platform utilizes a large part of the PMML standard with the exception of some PMML 4.3 features that are not supported in the Predictive Model rule.

Support for machine learning as a service models

In Pega Platform™, you can now run advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence models that you develop in third-party tools. By configuring a connection with an external machine learning as a service provider, such as Google AI Platform, you can use the predictive power of your custom models to improve the predictions in your customer strategies.

Data Flow rule enhancements

The enhancements to the Data Flow rule facilitate decision execution in real time, batch, and Pega 7 Platform applications. The DataFlow-Execute method in activities can be used to execute and monitor batch runs and real time data flows. In addition, you can configure pre- and post-activities that are executed before and after data flow execution.

New text analytics APIs for Intelligent Virtual Assistant

Pega Platform™ now provides text analytics APIs that separate Intelligent Virtual Assistant and text analyzers into independent modules. This solution prevents integration issues when you change your text analyzer configuration.

Support for predictive models in PMML version 4.4

Pega Platform™ now supports the import of predictive models in Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) version 4.4. With this feature, you can import PMML models that use the anomaly detection algorithm.

Stage-based revision and change request management enhancements

The revision and change request processes are based on the case management capabilities provided by the Pega 7 Platform. The customizable flows that controlled the behavior of the revision and change request management (pyManageRevision, pyManageChangeSet, pyApproveChangeSet, and pyDirectDeployment) are now part of the Revision and Change Request case types that govern the behavior of revision management. The change from flow-based to stage-based revision management makes the process more transparent and easier to modify.

Import H2O models to Prediction Studio

Make the most of your custom H2O models in Pega Platform™ by importing them to Prediction Studio. You can then include the H2O models in your decision strategies.

Remove obsolete versions of the PredictiveAnalytics-UI and PredictiveAnalaytics-IntSvcs rulesets

After you upgrade the Pega 7 Platform to version 7.2.2, remove the PredictiveAnalytics-UI and PredictiveAnalytics-IntSvcs rulesets from your application as their versions are obsolete. Beginning with Pega 7.2.2, use the Pega-DecisionScience ruleset that contains the latest versions of the PredictiveAnalytics-UI and PredictiveAnalytics-IntSvcs rulesets.

Connect to Amazon SageMaker models in Prediction Studio

Make the most of your custom Amazon SageMaker models in Pega Platform™ by connecting to the models in Prediction Studio. You can then run the Amazon SageMaker models as part of your decision strategies.

DSM rulesets become part of the PegaRULES application

The Pega-DecisionArchitect, Pega-DecisionEngine, Pega-BigData, and Pega-NLP rulesets were moved from the PegaDM application record to the PegaRULES application record. This change makes decision management functionality available for Pega 7 Platform users by default without any additional configuration required.
