Requestor Management landing page access privileges

To access the Requestor Management landing page after upgrading to Pega® Platform 7.3, you need to add the appropriate privileges to the @baseclass and Pega-Landing access classes in the access roles. Apply these privileges to any application in which you want the operator to be able use the requestor management feature.

Privilege inheritance support through access roles

Privilege inheritance simplifies the process of defining privileges that are relevant in multiple classes. When determining whether a user should be granted a named privilege that allows a type of access to a class, Pega® Platform searches for Access of Role to Object (Rule-Access-Role-Obj) rules that are relevant to the target class and to the access roles listed in the user's access group, and considers the privileges granted or denied in those rules. When privilege inheritance is enabled within an access role, the search for relevant Access of Role to Object rules begins with the target class and, if necessary, continues up the class hierarchy until a relevant rule is found.

No video controllers displayed on Android 4.3 and earlier versions

When you preview a video clip within Pega® Mobile Client on a mobile device that runs Android 4.3 or earlier versions, video controllers are not displayed in full-screen mode.
Custom DX API attributes for auto-generated controls
Valid from Pega Version 8.5
Auto-generated controls now include the option to add custom attributes for use with the Pega Digital Experience (DX) API. The attributes are part of the DX API response to the front end and you can use them to modify the run-time behavior of the UI elements in your application. For example, you can add an attribute to a field that displays a tooltip text for that field at run time. This enhancement introduces significant flexibility to application development and gives you greater control over UI components.

Access PegaUnit compliance metrics from a centralized location

PegaUnit compliance metrics and execution rate have been added to the PegaUnit metrics tile of the Application Quality dashboard. This dashboard provides a centralized location for all PegaUnit data for a specific application.
The dashboard also supports granular PegaUnit test information for each case type and data type, similar to the process currently available on the branch quality dashboard.

Experimental high-speed data page support

An experimental implementation of high-speed, read-only data pages is available. This implementation is useful when data pages are used to hold static data that is used repeatedly. You can enable this feature for a specific read-only data page from the Load Management tab of the data page rule form by clicking Enable high-performance read-only data page. This feature does not support full clipboard page functionality; use with caution.
The following functionality is supported:
- Basic page and property access (read and write properties) for all normal data types
- Hierarchical data page structure (pages within pages)
- Dictionary validation mode
- Read-only data pages
The following functionality is not supported:
- Declarative rules
- Page messages
- Complex property references
- Saving pages to a database
- API access to the data page
Property-level security for full-text search
Valid from Pega Version 7.3
Property-level security has been added to full-text search so that you can limit access to sensitive data. From the Search landing page, you can specify whether to include properties with access control policies in search results. In addition, for custom search, you can select which properties to include in full-text search by selecting options on the Search landing page and Custom Search properties instance.

Monitor standard and custom security events

From the new Security Event Configuration landing page, you can select the standard and custom security events that you want the Pega 7 Platform to log automatically for every user session. The security events are grouped into the following types:
- Authentication
- Data access
- Security administration
- Custom
The API logCustomEvent() is provided so that you can create custom security events that are specific to your applications and that can be monitored by the Pega 7 Platform. For more information, see Security Event Configuration.
Security landing pages and features require privileges

Security-related landing pages and features are no longer visible and accessible to every user. To view and configure the following security features, you must have the appropriate privileges:
- Attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies require the pzCanManageSecurityPolicies privilege.
- The Authentication Services landing page requires the pzCanCreateAuthService privilege.
Simplified section property panels in Pega Express

When you edit sections in Pega Express, the sections display a simplified properties panel. This panel presents the essential section properties in an intuitive way to streamline the editing process.
