Strategy rule form Test Run panel enhancements
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
The enhanced Test run panel on the rule form enables an in-depth analysis of your strategy both in terms of the distribution of propositions among customers and strategy performance. For enhanced analysis of decisioning outcomes, you can now test your strategy on real data by selecting data flows and external input as the sources for the test run. For detailed performance analysis, you can use enhanced metrics with various statistics that provide insight into how the strategy execution impacts the performance of the system.
For more information, see Strategy rule enhancements.
Skins can inherit formats from a parent
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
Skin inheritance allows a dependent skin to inherit formats and mixins from a parent skin. This feature provides a modular organization of styles, reducing the cost of maintaining skins. You can create a specific mobile skin to include mobile-specific styles and disable unused styles to decrease the size of the CSS. Inherited formats are displayed on the Inheritance tab of the skin. Formats that are specific to the skin are displayed on the My formats tab.
For more information, see Skin inheritance.
Paginated lists in repeating dynamic layouts
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
Repeating dynamic layouts can now display paginated lists. Pagination reduces the cost of loading the entire list onto the browser. You configure pagination on the General tab of the layout properties.
For more information, see Dynamic Layout Properties - General tab.
Heading level support
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
You can configure heading levels for containers that support headings. Headings facilitate accessibility by making the UI understandable to assistive technologies. You can edit headings in the Base settings tab of the skin.
For more information, see Base settings.
End of support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 10
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
In accordance with Microsoft’s announcement to discontinue support for Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 10 in January 2016, Pega 7.2 will be the last version of the Pega 7 Platform to support Internet Explorer 9 and Internet Explorer 10.
For Pega 7.2.1, you must upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or later, or use Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox.
For more information about browser support, see the Platform Support Guide or contact Pegasystems Global Customer Support.
Cannot view all custom context posts in Pulse
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
When you use Pulse in a custom context, the custom context label is displayed as plain text instead of as a link that you can click to view all posts that are associated with the custom context.
For more information about Pulse, see the help topic Pulse.
New Simulation Conversion wizard
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
The data flow runs replace simulations that are driven by the Interaction rule instances. Simulations now leverage data processing and strategy instructions that are defined in data flows. Use the Simulation Conversion wizard to convert legacy simulation objects into data flows and data sets. The converted legacy simulations can be re-executed using the batch processing option on the Data Flows landing page.
For more information, see Converting simulations.
New Decision Strategy Manager (DSM) alerts
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
The new DSM-related runtime alerts allow you to detect performance anomalies in your decisioning projects. The alerts are published in Autonomic Event Services (AES).
For more information, see Performance alerts, security alerts, and AES.
Improvements for the PMML models
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
The Pega 7 Platform extends support for the PMML models to include PMML 4.2 features and validations. Additionally, the PMML files that contain custom functions can be imported into the Pega 7 Platform and used in strategies.
For more information, see Predictive Model rule form.
Improvements to the adaptive models management
Valid from Pega Version 7.2
There are several improvements for managing large sets of adaptive models that make model management faster and easier. In the Adaptive Models Management landing page, you can clear and delete models in bulk. In the Predictors tab of the Adaptive Model rule, you can add multiple predictors. In the Memory estimation tab of the Adaptive Model rule, you can estimate the memory that the Adaptive Decision Manager (ADM) system needs to accommodate the models that use the adaptive model configuration.
For more information, see:
- Adaptive Models Management landing page
